Gateway to the Northwoods Workcamp
Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin
June 14-20, 2009

The history of Chippewa Falls dates back to the year 1836 when Jean Brunet built the first sawmill at the Falls and started a settlement of people who were involved in the logging industry. Named after the Chippewa Indians,

Chippewa Falls is located on the picturesque Chippewa River in Western Wisconsin. Chippewa Falls has many residents who await your arrival. Come and be the hands and feet of Jesus next summer to the residents of Chippewa Falls and the surrounding communites!

America's Hometown Workcamp
Muncie, Indiana
June 28 - July 4, 2009

Located about 60 miles northeast of Indianapolis, Muncie is fondly referred to as "America's Hometown" and is the hometown of celebrities, Garfield and David Letterman. Munceetown was a nickname given the in the late 1700's to one of several small Indian villages, because it was dominated by a particular clan of Delaware Indians, who were known as the "Muncee" (Wolf) family.

With a population of over 70,000 and some 30,000 families, Muncie makes for a great TeenServe location. Like many mid-sized cities in the rust belt, Muncie has had to economically reinvent itself due to the collective fall of the manufacturing industry in the latter part of the 20th century and consequently there are many residents who could use your help next summer!

Heart of America Workcamp
Oskaloosa/Eddyville, Iowa
July 12-18, 2009

June 2008 flooding caused Mahaska County to be the unfortunate recipient of a Presidential Disaster Declaration. In the midst of recovering from this flooding, the residents of Oskaloosa and its neighbor Eddyville are very excited to have the "TeenServe Army" descend upon their area in July of 2009!

Most of the work that the TeenServe crews will do is located in Mahaska County, named for Chief Mahaska, a 19th century leader of a Native American tribe called the "Ioways" (there is a bronze statue of Chief Mahaska in the historic, Oskaloosa town square). Please come and be a part of God's work in Mahaska County next July!

Fourth in the Fire

Fourth in the Fire is led by husband and wife team Chris and Jaci Uttecht. They have been leading worship with a modern-rock edge for over a decade. After graduating with music degrees from Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee, Chris and Jaci began traveling as worship leaders. For seven years, Fourth in the Fire led worship for churches, youth conventions, camps and conferences as far away as Tokyo, Japan. During this time, Fourth in the Fire led worship for more than 25 different TeenServe missions trips. Since 2006, Chris and Jaci have been in full-time church worship ministry. Fourth in the Fire is thrilled to be leading worship for TeenServe once again in their current hometown of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin.

Cloudchase

Cloudchase is a rock worship band from Nashville, Tennessee. Husband and wife team Erin and Zac Sparks lead the band. Their goal is to reach a world full of darkness and despair using music that is fresh and full of hope. Knowing deep down that reaching people through music was not just to be a hobby, Zac and Erin followed their life call and now tour full-time with the band. "We're all about chasing and getting after what we've been made for: dreams, relationships, and things bigger and better than us!" Cloudchase will be leading worship for TeenServe in Oskaloosa, Iowa and Muncie, Indiana. For more information visit: www.cloudchase.com

Jason Hartong

Jason Hartong was raised in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. He played football, hung out with friends, and got dragged to church every weekend by his parents. He spent the rest of high school and the first few years of college doing whatever he wanted... After a few years of selfish living he found himself in debt, flunking out of college, and with no real friends to speak of. With nothing left to lose he got down on his knees and prayed...Jason loves seeking after God, by following Jesus. God has given Jason a passion to equip youth leaders and their students to change their world! With a desire to inspire, equip and encourage people to change their world, Jason and his wife Betsy founded Destiny Ministries in 2000. Jason has led over 1000 teenagers to many countries on short term mission trips where he served as the speaker, including Panama, Poland, Germany, Czech Republic, Mexico, Russia, Hong Kong, China, Australia, and Guatemala. We are excited that Jason will be our speaker at all of our locations this summer!

A special message from Jason:
Are you ready for an incredible week? I know I am!
God has been sharing His heart with me as I have
been preparing to share with you! I have been
reading Nehemiah and I think our hearts echo his.
Nehemiah said, "send me to the city... so that I can
rebuild it." This summer we are going to have an
incredible opportunity to see a city rebuilt! Let get ourselves ready to serve well! Please begin reading
the book of Nehemiah and allow God to share his
heart for the city with you! Lets begin to build a
spiritual foundation of prayer for our trip!!!
Can't wait to see you this summer!
