Background Checks

Multi-State Criminal and Sexual Offender Background Checks are required for any Adult Leader (age 21+) who attends a TeenServe workcamp.

The Senior Pastor or an Officer of the church will have to verify (through their signature on the Adult Leader Form) that the proper background checks have been done on each Adult Leader.

You are welcome to use the screening service that your church normally uses for these background checks. If your church does not currently use a screening service, you can use SecureSearch.

SecureSearch (www.securesearchpro.com) will do Multi-State Criminal and Sexual Offender background checks for TeenServe churches for $12.99 per background check.

Step by Step process to use SecureSearch

Step 1
Download and print the Secure Search Agreement for Service (PDF file) – You will need to fill out page 1, sign page 5, initial page 6 and then fax those first 6 pages to SecureSearch at 1.800.856.5927. Please star or circle the service on page 6 you are most interested in using.

Step 2
Download the Sample Background Consent Form (Word Document). Then customize this form with your organization’s name, etc. Have all applicants fill out and sign the form. You will use these consent forms and their data to conduct your on-line searches. You are responsible for protecting the applicant data in a safe and locked location.

Step 3
Go on-line and conduct the required background checks. You will have the results in less than 3 minutes.
